[OPT101] Issues in Computer Programming

Course IDOPT101
ProgramArtificial Intelligence
LevelBachelor, Master

Despite prevailing computer science intro courses, students are often lack of basic grammar in programming. This course is inspired by the spirits of MIT’s The Missing Semester in CS Education, which covers not so much CS as it is for general audience in programming profession, be it academic, scientific, engineering, or business.

The course assumes that students are working with Python on Windows, where a huge support of WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) allows Windows-based entry programmer to minimize dependency issues by operating system.

By four of 3-hour lectures, students will be able to run Python programs on a customized virtual setting. Debugging techniques, batch functions and exposure to script-type language will become a part of working knowledge of this course.
