Professor Keith Lee Speaks at Bett Asia 2026 Leadership Summit

Professor Keith Lee, Professor of AI and Finance at the Swiss Institute of Artificial Intelligence (SIAI), delivered a solo session at the Bett Asia 2026 Leadership Summit in Kuala Lumpur on 23 September.

Titled “Beyond Retraining: Lifelong Education in the Age of Superhuman Labour,” the presentation examined how artificial intelligence is changing professional cognitive work and why higher-education and workforce institutions need to move beyond one-off reskilling responses.

The session set out a practical framework for identifying AI-exposed tasks, distinguishing durable human capabilities from readily replicable technical competence, and developing recurring learning pathways for working adults. It argued that lifelong education should become an institutional capability rather than a late response to displacement.

The presentation formed part of Bett Asia’s Higher Education and TVET programme. On the preceding day, Professor Lee also participated in Bett Asia’s invitation-only Ministerial Policy Roundtables on responsible AI adoption in post-secondary and higher education.
