Dear all,
From Jan 1, 2025, all online systems of SIAI will be serviced from following new platforms
1.Business operation
Since Dec 1, 2024, we have tested migration from Microsoft Teams to NextCloud, and we now announce our official transition to the new platform. All SIAI internal communications will also be hosted on this new platform, including live lectures.
Although migration for minor operations have not been complete yet, we believe all processes will soon be over.
Expected EoL(End of Life) for Microsoft Teams is Sep 2025.
2.New contents / community platform
From Nov 1, 2024, GIAI (the mother institution of SIAI) has migrated contents management system (CMS) from WordPress to Drupal. It has been two months now, and most contents have been successfully migrated. Our target completion is Mar 2025.
Along with transitions in CMS, we have launched a new community platform by Discourse. The URL of which is:
- GIAI Square: https://sq.giai.org
We are currently working on integration between Drupal and Discourse, so that all user activities in community can be synced to our CMS.
3.New learning management system
Along with migration from Microsoft Teams to NextCloud for business opertaion, we also have changed our learning managemeny system(LMS) from Microsoft 365 for Education to Moodle.
Students can now use Moodle app to keep track of course progress.
GIAI also is in preparation of GIAI LMS for non-degree curriculum in AI/Data Science. Vocational topics like programming will gradually be added to GIAI LMS for students looking for non-degree options.

At GIAI, it is also in discussion to host online seminars by MDSA (Managerial Data Science Association) for current and graduated students, along with outside guests. More details will come.
4.ERP system for business/school
GIAI has re-newed ERP system for multi-national operation, which also provides support for educational institutions.
From Jan 1, 2025, all students academic record will be serviced from SIAI SIS (Student Information System, https://sis.siai.org), in addition to all key lecture documents and school reguations. Following lecture notes are currently in transition from PDF to online LaTeX.
Although minor details are not fully ready, we will endeavor to fix any noticeable malfuctions with an immediate manner. We do hope that all SIAI personel enjoy our new system.
With great excitement,
